IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Johnny Lawrence
Grieshaber Iii
July 21, 1973 – May 28, 2023
Johnny Grieshaber III
July 21, 1973 – May 28, 2023
Johnny was born in Plantation, Florida and grew up in Margate, Florida. As a young boy all the way through his teenage years, he played baseball and football and loved both sports dearly. He graduated from Coconut Creek High School in 1992 and went to work for AT&T. Not long after, Johnny met and married the love of his life, Lina. They left South Florida and relocated to Central Florida to get a fresh start in a new career with Progress Energy which then became Duke Energy where Johnny worked for the last 20+ years. Johnny and Lina settled in Clermont and welcomed their son Kyle. Johnny started his career as an apprentice and then worked hard and became a lineman. To say he was a loyal, honest, hardworking man is an understatement.
Johnny was an avid fisherman, hunter and all-around family man. Johnny, his son Kyle, and dad, Big John went on numerous trips and made memories together. They were always the best of friends. Whether they were on the annual Georgia deer hunting trip, fishing trips to Lake Okeechobee to catch crappies and bass, turkey hunting or air boating, Johnny could always be counted on for a smile, a joke and to teach both Kyle and Big John something positive about life.
As a family, Johnny, Lina and Kyle spent time together boating, hanging out with friends and just living their life.
When he was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2020, it was a devastating blow to everyone that knew Johnny, but nothing that Johnny, Lina or Kyle would let stop them from trying to live life as they always did. He continued to be the strong man everyone knew and loved and fought the battle harder than anyone could ever fight until his last breath. He is a true warrior and has now been welcomed into heaven.
Johnny is survived by the love of his life and wife of 26 years, Lina Grieshaber; only son whom he loved so dearly, Kyle Grieshaber; father, John (Iris) Grieshaber Jr; mother, Alyce (Robert) Walters; sister, Melissa (Peter) Nieves, father and mother-in-law, Carlos and Maria Eugenia Reina; sister-in-law, Maria (Ferris) Sheikh, brother-in-law, Eduardo Reina, three nephews and extended family.
