John W. Taylor, Sr. (Dub), 91, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at his home in Clermont, FL. Born October 19, 1922, in Chambers County, Alabama, to John Wesley and Betty Taylor, who predeceased him in death. He was a retired Crown Cork & Seal truck driver. Dub is survived by Audrey, his wife, of 69 years; daughters, Sharon Cole, Tavares, FL, Judy Efurd, Debary, FL, Peggy (Terry) Parker, Ferndale, FL, Pamela (Butch) Kendall, Umatilla, FL, and son, John Taylor, Jr., Clermont, FL; sisters, Verby Hufstetler, Marie Bunch, Joyce Spivey and Jeanette Laseter; brother Jimmy Taylor; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandsons. Also predeceased in death by his daughter, Sandra Day, and brothers, Lawrence Taylor and E.H. (Shorty) Taylor. Arrangements are: Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 18, at the Church of God of Prophecy, Mascotte, FL, with interment following at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Gotha, FL. Visitation 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, August 17, at Becker Funeral Home, Clermont, FL.
