John Lamar Stewart, 75, Ferndale, passed away January 12, 2012 at Health Central Park in Winter Garden, FL.  He was born March 2, 1936 in Randolph County, Alabama son of Noel Lamar Stewart and Minnie Pearl Heard Stewart and was a local resident since 1964 from Wetumpka, Alabama.  He was a Citrus Grove Worker and attended Ferndale Baptist Church.  His wife Zella Mae Russell Stewart preceded him in death in 2003 as did his siblings Katheryn Parker, Jean Colley and Danny Stewart.

Surviving are his children Charles (Hanna) Hoskins of Augusta, GA; Donna Alexander of Alabama and Vicky Crew Fuller of Atlanta, GA; daughter in law Barbara Hoskins of Ferndale; sister Carolyn (Harold) Colley of Montgomery, AL; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.



The funeral service for John Stewart will be held at 2:30PM Monday, January 16, 2012 in the Becker Chapel.  Reverend Dr. Walt Fowler will officiate.  Burial will follow in Ferndale Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 PM on Sunday, January 15th at the funeral home.  The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Judes Children's Hospital.
