IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John Joseph
Schreiber
May 16, 1975 – May 21, 2025
John Joseph Schreiber saw the green flag and was off the line May 16, 1975. Legend has it he was a little slow out of the gate, but once he got in gear, he had the need for speed. For John, racing was life. Anything that happened before or after was just waiting. He took the checkered flag on May 21, 2025.
After a questionable stint in college, John got his $#!@ together and graduated with honors from Pace University School of Law in 2003.
He worked as an attorney in order to finance his revolving door of hobbies which included, but was not limited to: sailing, golfing, photography, buying cars and racing them.
John was founder and CEO of Seat of Your Pants Racing. If you were looking for him on the weekends, he was either under a car or racing one. When it was too hot to be at the track, you would find him on the lanai, smoking a cigar, drinking scotch, watching the Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs.
He is survived by his incredibly patient and devoted wife, Fonda (Bartges) Schreiber, who somehow managed put up with his shenanigans for over 20 years. John is also survived by his loving parents, Albert Schreiber and Nancy (Trongone) Schreiber. He also leaves behind his beloved fur babies, Chloe and Finnegan, and his fleet of race cars: 2005 Lotus Elise, 2008 Mazda Miata, 1986 Porsche 944, 2000 Porsche Boxster.
Friends and adversaries are welcome to attend a celebration of life to commemorate this witty, thoughtful, loyal, funny meme sharing, larger than life character from 4 PM to 7 PM on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Becker Funeral Home in Clermont, FL.
