John Martin Rand

Born January 29, 1935 – passed away peacefully on July 10, 2024

John was born in Milwaukee, WI and raised in Waukesha, WI

John loved everything outdoors and the Florida State Seminoles

John served as VP for Eaton Corporation (Selling heavy construction & road equipment) which brought him to Florida

Upon retirement, he purchased a fish camp, resort & marina in Hiawassee, Georgia at Lake Chatuge, he loved entertaining his guests with fishing trips & tours and sharing his love of nature and running the general store and cottages.

He hosted a local radio show talking about weather, fun and interesting facts and lots of fishing stories and where the fish were biting.

John is survived by his wife Arlene Hejna Rand

3 children Cynthia (Spouse Dan), Tim (Spouse Frances) & Michael (Spouse Fran)

6 grandchildren that he loved dearly: Alexis, Addison, Asher, Madison, Annabella & Peyton

5 Great grandchildren Porter, Jagger, Lenni, Molly & Drew

Brother James (Spouse Sara) in South Bend, Indiana

Visitation will be held at Becker's Funeral home on Tuesday, July 16th from 4-6pm.

John's "Mass of Celebration" will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Wednesday July 17th at 1:00pm.
