John F. “Jack” Philbin Jr., 83, of Clermont, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026.

Born on December 23, 1942, in the Bronx, New York, Jack lived a life marked by service, dedication, and devotion to his family. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and later continued his military service in the National Guard. He went on to retire from a distinguished career with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Jack was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Noreen T. Philbin.

He is lovingly remembered by his brother, Danny Philbin; his sons, John Philbin and Mike Philbin; his daughters-in-law, Julie Philbin and Lili Philbin; his grandchildren, Matthew Philbin, Meagan Campbell, Lauren Philbin, Liam Philbin, and Micah Philbin; and his two great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

Jack will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, sense of duty, and the love he had for those closest to him. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Becker Funeral Home in Clermont, Florida. In keeping with Jack’s wishes, no memorial service will be held. He will be laid to rest beside his cherished wife at Bushnell National Cemetery during a private family farewell
