John Lyle O'Connor, 73, of Clermont Fl passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2023. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on Tuesday, May 16th 1950 to John Eugene O'Connor and Doris Virgina Perkins. He was a devoted husband to Glenda Watson O'Connor and was best known by Jack to his many friends and family members.

He was an Army Veteran and avid Florida Gator fan. He loved his family fiercely and took pleasure in spending time with them. He also enjoyed the art of woodworking and donating his time and talents to the community. John was the president of the American Building Safety Associates. He spent his professional career in construction and Building Codes where he served in multiple capacities. Johns' dedication to furthering the understanding of Building Codes has had a major impact on the quality and safety of the construction industry in Florida.

Jack is survived by his wife Glenda O'Connor; son Troy O'Connor, son Jason O'Connor and his wife Tracy O'Connor, sister Dorene Willoughby, and grandchildren Tory, Leigha, and Jordan O'Connor.

A Celebration of life will be held Friday, August 4, 2023, 1pm, at Living Hope Church, 950 7th Street, Clermont Florida.
