John's first and true love was, is, and always will be his family. For 32 years he and his wife Kelly shared a love many could only dream of - as soulmates, best friends, and true partners for life. From their shared love grew John's true pride and joy - his beautiful family, upon whom he doted unabashedly. John's love for his children was unconditional and never-ending. His passion, "brutal" honesty and loyalty to all he knew were just a few of his most endearing qualities. Second to John's love for his family, his passion for music and his genius at the piano and keyboard contributed hours of joy to his beautiful, artistically-fulfilling life. For 53 years, he shared his passion for music in some of the best bands in the land- from his younger days spent in garages in his hometown, to hours practicing with new friends wherever he wound up. He considered all of his fellow band members "family", enmeshed by the same love of music. John's legacy will carry on through his children and grandchildren, to whom he's granted his gifts of passion, commitment, love and artistry, and his loss has forever changed their lives.

John is survived by his wife Kelly Mucci (DeGennaro); sons Matthew and Anthony of Davenport, FL; daughter Lexie and wife Crystal of Benton, Maine; son Mitchell and wife Amanda and John's grandsons - Chandler and Charlie, of Columbus, OH. He is preceded in death by his parents Albert and Billie Mucci; brother Albert J. Mucci Jr.; and father and mother-in-law Anthony and Janis DeGennaro.

We invite all to join us in a celebration of life mass on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020 at 11 a.m. at St. Faustina Catholic Church located at 1714 US-27, Clermont, FL 34714. Mass will be officiated by Fr. Ramon Bolatete. No viewing or calling hours will be held per John's request.
