John Thomas Minor, Jr., 74, Clermont, passed away June 2012 at the Mike Conley Hospice House. He was born April 20, 1938 in Orlando son of the late John "Tiger" & Nell Marr Minor and was a lifelong central Florida resident. On June 7, 1959 he was united in marriage to Betty Jean Holloway in Ocoee. He served in the National Guard & retired from Florida Power. He was member of First United Methodist Church of Clermont and active member Clermont-Minneola Lion's Club especially involved in sight. He was a loving & devoted son, husband & father and especially proud of his six grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his beloved Betty Jean on January 17.2011. Surviving is his son John Thomas Minor, III (Tom) & his wife Lori of Clermont & their children Christian, Kirby, Lindsay, Julian, Avery & Ivy all of Clermont.



The funeral service for John Minor will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at First United Methodist Church, 750 7th Street, Clermont, FL. Reverend David Paul will officiate. Private entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Gotha. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church.
