In Loving Memory of John Joseph McPherson Sr.
John Joseph McPherson Sr., 65, of Clermont, FL, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, October 7, 2024. Born on August 7, 1959, at Loring AFB in Caribou, Maine, John lived a life rich in love, family, and friendships across the country.
A proud New England native, John graduated from Bedford High School in Bedford, Massachusetts before following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather by serving in the United States Air Force. His loyalty to Boston sports was unwavering; he was a devoted fan of the Red Sox and Patriots. Family football Sundays were a cherished tradition, where he reveled in the excitement with his children and grandchildren.
John was employed by Roy Jorgensen Associates for 37 years, where he worked various positions throughout the company, ultimately serving as Fleet Director. His integrity, loyalty, dedication and work ethic were admired by all who knew him.
John is survived by his wife, Ronda McPherson; his daughter, Corrie McPherson; his son, John Joseph McPherson Jr. and his wife, Jenny; and his three beloved grandsons, Daniel, Camden and Riley of Clermont. He is also survived by his sister, Kathleen Smith of Lowell, Massachusetts, and his niece, Kelly Smith of Lowell, MA. He was predeceased by his father, William Ralph McPherson Jr., his stepmother, Claire McPherson, and his brother-in-law, John Francis Smith Jr.
John will be remembered for his warm spirit, love of family, and passion for life. He touched the hearts of many and will be deeply missed.
A gathering of family and friends will take place at Becker Funeral Home in Clermont, Florida, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with services to start at 3pm. The family will be going to Calabria Ristorante, East Towne Center 13900, County Rd 455 #101, Clermont, FL 34711 (Publix Shopping Center across from Rooms 2 Go) immediately following the service.
