John J. McAllister, 84 of Groveland, FL passed away December 28, 2010, at the South Lake Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Philadelphia, PA and moved to Florida 34 years ago.
He worked for Boeing in Morton, PA; Phoenix Steel Company, PA and after moving to Florida worked at Walt Disney World for 10 years.The last 10 years of his life, he volunteered his services and played his guitar for events at Groveland Center with his wife always by his side.
John is survived by his wife (Gloria) of 57 years. He is survived by 2 daughters; Florence Bellamy and her husband of Winter Garden, FL; Faith Zabel and her husband of Lake Mary, 1 son; Willam Ayers and his wife of Philadelphia, PA, 4 grand-daughters; Christie, Kimberly, Jessica and Felicia, grandsons; Joe, Bill and Stephen; greatgrandson Billy and expectant greatgrandchild in July, 2011.
Celebration of John's life will be held on Monday, January 3, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Grace Bible Church 801 Dorscher Road, Orlando, FL.
The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials to the Groveland Senior Center, 142 Mills St., Groveland, Fl 34736.
