Obituary

John Charles Klotter, born on September 2, 1946, passed away peacefully at his residence in Clermont, FL on March 3, 2026, leaving a legacy of service, dedication, and devotion to his family.

John proudly served in the United States Navy, including three years during the Vietnam War. Like many veterans of his era, he carried the experiences of his service quietly throughout his life, always close to his heart.

After returning home, John met and married the love of his life, Debbie. Together they shared over 56 years and built a family that meant everything to him. He worked for Eastern Airlines for over 20 years while earning his real estate degree, and spent over three decades running his own real estate company as owner and broker, specializing in sales and property management, in a career defined by tireless effort and countless quiet sacrifices.

John is survived by his wife, Debbie; his children, David, Kelly and her husband Paul, Steven and his wife Carolina, and Richard; his grandsons, Austin, Adam, and Aiden; and his brother Jim. He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Patrick; two brothers, George and Tom; and his parents, George and Gertrude Klotter.

A Prayer Service will be held at Becker Funeral Home, Monday, March 23 at 11:00 followed by a brief memorial service with military honors 1:30pm on Monday, March 23 at Florida National Cemetery 6502 SW 102nd Ave Bushnell, FL 33513.

He will be remembered for never meeting a stranger, always engaging in conversation, and for the quiet yet unmistakable way he left his mark on every person and space he encountered.
