John Preston Jackson, died March 22, 2018 in Live Oak Florida. He was born in Chilhowie, Virginia, August 28, 1929, son of Joe Henry Jackson and Gertrude Stines. John had a very full and interesting life. He was a boat finisher by trade working many years in Winter Garden before retiring and moving to Live Oak. He loved to travel, crossing United States many times.

He is preceded in death by his parents and wife Gladys Mickler Jackson. He is survived by numerous family members and friends.

The family would like to thank the entire staff of Surrey Place Care Center, and two special care givers Tonya Lee and Samantha McCullers of Live Oak for the loving care John always received. Thanks too, to the wonderful staff of Haven Hospices of Lake City.

A graveside service for immediate family will be held at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Clermont FL.
