John Boorojian

John was born to loving parents, Charles and Victoria Boorojian in Union City, New Jersey. He spent his childhood in the quiet seaside town of Long Beach, Long Island. There John excelled in music, landing singing engagements on New York City radio programs. When World War II broke out, John entered the war, reaching the rank of sergeant. He auditioned on upright bass and became part of the famed 187th Ground Forces Band, entertaining troops across the map.
After service to his country, John went into business with his father in the shoe wholesaling business. He married his beloved wife Dora (née Nourian) in 1951 and enjoyed the birth of their only child, Raymond in 1952. John went on to a rewarding career in real estate of owning, selling, and consulting.
John is survived by his son Raymond, his son's wife Ani, two grandchildren Hope and Garrett, Sister Zephyr and nephew Michael Kutreyan. His wife, Dora Boorojian pre-deceased him.
John Boorojian, beloved husband, father and grandfather was interred with military honors at Bushnell National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida on May 9, 2018.
