John grew up in Bartow, Florida. After graduating from Summerlin Institute, John married his high school sweetheart, and began raising a family. He started his sales career at Etheridge Marine where he became the sales manager. Shortly thereafter, he began his career selling automotive equipment where he traveled the US and abroad, making lifelong friends wherever he went. John retired in Clermont in 2008.
