Obituary
Joan Elise Smith, age 80, died peacefully on June 14, 2016 at home in Leesburg, FL. Joan was born August 28, 1935 in Augusta, GA, the daughter of Clyde and Mary McCants. She grew up in West Palm Beach, FL and graduated from Rosarian Academy in Palm Beach, FL. Joan married "Sweet William", Lt Col William Elbert Smith in 1956. She was a proud and devoted military wife and mother and enjoyed many years of traveling the world with her family. She delighted in visiting family and enjoyed playing Bridge with her friends.
Joan was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Clermont.
Joan is survived by Sons: Mark Smith of Leesburg FL, Clyde Smith of Treasure Island, FL, Daughters: Sharon Dziorney of Mascotte, FL, Carol Hamilton of Coatesville, PA, Gail Stage of Davie FL, Donna Smith of Pembroke Pines, FL, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a number of other relatives and close friends.
