Joan Virginia Rugg "GahGah", passed away peacefully surrounded by her peeps on Thursday December 14th, 2023. She was born in Chicago Illinois. Joan was the sweetest most loving sister, mother, friend, and grandmother. She loved to create amazing works of art. She would sketch her loved ones and paint beautiful portraits. She was a lover of music. Artists like Joe Cocker, The Eagles, The Beatles, and many more influenced her music taste. She was a very funny lady, always bringing smiles and laughs to anyones face that she met. She was an incredible story teller. Hundreds of hilarious and memorable stories that she told will live on with her family forever. Every moment spent with Joanie was bright and cheery. She would light up every room with her presence and infectious laugh. Always giving hugs and kisses, she made made everyone feel loved and happy. Joanie created a beautiful and large family. This family is rowdy, theatrical, exciting, creative, comical and most importantly loving. All things that are gifted qualities from Joanie. Joan will live on forever every day in all of the people that she met and loved. She loved adventures and her peeps. She is now with our peeps on the other side laughing, loving, and having fun with her on her new adventure.

Preceded by her sons Payton "PJ" and Cameron Blaine. Her parents Joseph and Virginia. And her granddaughter Shane.
Survived by her brother Joseph "Skip" (Nancy) Kerigan. Her Children Cory (Rose) Rugg, Brendon (Kristina) Kerigan, Marna (Greg) Givans, Meghan (Al) Bedell. Her grandchildren (13) Brieanna, Keagan, Justin, Tate, Remi, Hunter, Kaitlin, Avery, Travis, Vivienne, Melanie, Lainey, and Adria. Great grandchildren (5) Keiryn, Royce, Donovan, Remington and Oliver.
