Obituary
Joan Del Gatto Glynn went to be with The Lord on December 12, 2015. She passed away peacefully at home after a courageous and hard-fought battle against cancer. Joan was born on July 7, 1943 in Buffalo, New York, daughter to Joanne Anzalone Del Gatto and Pasquale "Pat" Del Gatto. Surviving are her daughter Joanne Braddock Lambert of Orlando and son and daughter-in-law Brian Braddock and Gloria Tan Braddock of Clermont; sister Mary Del Gatto Battista and brother-in-law Salvatore "Sam" Battista; sister Frances Watkins; and brother John Del Gatto. Joan also leaves behind her six beautiful grandchildren who were the lights of their "Nana's" life: Ashleigh Nicole Tan Braddock, Mackenzie Kathryn Lambert, Lauren Elizabeth Tan Braddock, Brian John Braddock, Jr., Dillon Pierce Lambert, and Alana Joan Tan Braddock. In addition to being a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Joan was a dedicated elementary school teacher in both Taylor and Osceola Counties, Florida for over 33 years and touched numerous young minds and hearts. Joan was a member of Clermont Baptist Church and an avid supporter of the church's His Hands Ministry, a community outreach ministry that provides food and clothing to families in need. She will be extraordinarily missed.
Visitation will take place at Becker Funeral Home from 6 pm to 9 pm on Tuesday, December 15, and a funeral service celebrating Joan's life will be held on Wednesday, December 16 at 1 pm at Clermont Baptist Church, followed by a graveside service at Winter Garden Cemetery, 13636 Lake Butler Blvd, Winter Garden, Florida 34787. The family is accepting flowers, and donations in Joan's memory may also be made to His Hands Ministry of Clermont Baptist Church, 16115 Old Highway 50, Clermont, Florida 34711, or online at: www.clermontbaptist.org
