Jo Ann (Ewell) Heller, born in Noble county Indiana on September 15, 1936, to Merritt Eugene and Mary Lorene (Owen) Ewell. Married Don Anthony Heller June 26th, 1954 at the Zion Lutheran Church, West Fairfield, DeKalb county, Indiana. Don founded Heller Well Drilling in 1974. Don preceded her in death on April 15, 1995, following heart transplant surgery. Jo Ann was an administrative assistant for the U.S. department of agriculture for 20 years where she received several awards, retiring in November 1996. She also was an office employee of McRay refrigerator company in the 1950'. She was a member of Woodlands Lutheran Church in Clermont, Florida. Jo Ann is survived by: Cheryle (Heller) Bruick and John Bruick of Kendallville, Indiana and Lisa (Heller) McCue, Holly McCall of Clermont, Florida. Five grandchildren Julie Bruick, Jessica Bruick and Joel Bruick, Celia Pena all of Kendallville, Indiana. Lindsay McCue and Allyson McCue of Clermont, Florida. One brother and one sister-in-law, Robert Ewell and Judy Ewell of Lincoln, Nebraska Three nieces, Rachel Ewell of St. Paul, Minnesota, Lynda (Ewell) Laird & Todd Laird, Holden and Harrison of Bellevue, Nebraska, and Martha Ewell of Lincoln, Nebraska. Aunt Donna Owen of Lutheran Life Villages Kendallville, Indiana. Her dog, Emmy. Jo Ann passed away peacefully under the loving care of doctors and nurses at Mike Conley Hospice House in Clermont, Florida after a long battle and complications from LVAD implant surgery.
