Reflection of Life

Jesula St. Louis

Mother Jesula St. Louis was born on January 9th, 1938 to Dancilia Pierre Cius and Joachin St. Louis. She has 11 brothers and sisters and she was the second child of the twelve.

She was united in holy matrimony to Ceus Sylvestre on November 21st 1956, they relocated to St. Marc Gros- Morne in the late 1960's.  She was a member of Le Bon Bergé Baptist Church for over 50 years where she served in various organizations. She was also a leading member of the counselor board and usher board to name a few of her many positions.

Mother Jesula St. Louis worked many years in cultivation, farming her own farms whilst feeding many people from the village, and the entire community.  She was also a midwife who helped to deliver many children including some of her grandchildren.

People never treated her like a stranger due to magnetic personality and light. Her unique sense of humor never failed to get people to laughing, singing, and dancing along with her. She loved the Lord and talked with him daily.

Mother Jesula St. Louis  relocated on January 9th 2016,  to Clermont, Fl with her 8th daughter Guirlaine Lightner and her son-in-law Gregory Lightner Jr. with their six children.  She passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was the matriarch of the St. Louis and Sylvestre family. She was preceded by her husband, the late Ceus Sylvestre who was the amazing son of Eddy Sylvestre and Marie Ange Sylvestre.

She leaves to mourn her death; her five brothers, daughter, Guirlaine Lightner, son-in-law, Gregory Lightner, Junior, daughter Kettly Sylvestre, daughter Adeline Sylvestre, Son Jean Claude Sylvestre, Wisler Sylvestre, Hercule Sylvestre and Yves Sylvestre. 28 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews, cousins, other  relatives and sorrowing friends will forever hold Misses Jesula St. Louis close to their heart and in high regard as she was.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024, 1pm, at Family Christian Center in Clermont.  The family will receive friends starting at 12 noon.
