Jerry Clark Motter, 82, of Groveland, FL, earned his heavenly wings and passed peacefully on Friday, May 5, 2023. Jerry was the son of the late George Gilbert Motter and Bessie Root Motter.

Jerry served for 20 years in the United States Air Force as a photographer where he was awarded the Bronze Star. He continued his government career for an additional 20 years working in the photo field at the Defense Intelligence Agency until his retirement in 2001.

Jerry leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 43 years, Virginia, and his five children Scott Motter (Terri), Sean Motter (Dawn), Terry Motter, Connie Motter Fulwiler (Dan), and Michelle Motter Werner (Brian), 13 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

A mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, May 18, 11am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Clermont, FL with burial at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at 2pm. Instead of flowers, the next time you see a military veteran, buy him/her a meal, and spend a moment listening to their story.
