Jerry Lee Hargrove, formerly of Lakeland, Florida and Wallonia, Kentucky passed away August 22, 2021 at South Lake Hospital in Clermont, Florida after suffering a stroke earlier this year. He was in the Army and served his country in the Vietnam War from 1970 through 1972. He worked as a Superintendent building power plants and performing repairs all over the U.S. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Lakeland, Florida.
He is survived by two daughters; Amy (John) Gibson of Lakeland, Florida and Hiler (Jarrett) Hall of Groveland, Florida, five grandchildren; Leesha (Mike) Doyle, Payton Micheal, Chase Kessler, Bret Archbell and Liam Hall, one sister Judy (Lannie) Shelton of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, several nieces and nephews. Shirley Hargrove and Jerry stayed best of friends and she was his caregiver until the end. He would have done the same for her.
He is preceded in death by his parents Woodrow and Eva Atwood Hargrove, brothers Donnie Ray Hargrove, Bobby Dean Hargrove and sister Bonnie Lewis all from the Wallonia community of Trigg Co.
Graveside services will be held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
