Jerry D. Dale, 68, died at home in Clermont on April 14th, of a heart condition. He was born to the late Josie Mae and Otis Dale on October 28th, 1943 in Opp, Alabama. He served in the Marine Corps as a young man. Additionally, Jerry was popularly known throughout the Walt Disney World company after 38 years of service in Engineering/Building Maintenance at the Magic Kingdom. He retired in 2010. He previously worked with BVCC and helped construct the Magic Kingdom prior to its opening in 1971, making him an original Cast Member- a title he was immensely proud of. Jerry is survived by his wife, Alice; his daughter, Ashly Dale; his brother Billy and sister Laurette; his beloved sister-in-law Wynell Dale and his nephew Jimmy Dale; his granddaughter Alyssa Dale; his great-nephews and nieces Nathan, Devan, Marissa, Emily, Lizzy, Ella Dale and Bella Wilson; and he would be upset if his little Sasha was not mentioned. He is predeceased by his brothers, Jimmy and Larry, and nephew, Allen Dale.



A visitation will be at Becker Funeral Home in Clermont, on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 from 5-8 PM.. His funeral will be at First United Methodist Church of Clermont on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice for their loving work with his brother Larry during his time of need.
