Jerry David Brown passed away on September 26, 2013 at age 63 in Clermont, Florida after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Jerry was born on June 11, 1950 in Lakeland, Florida to Norval and Betty Brown. Jerry graduated from Clermont High School and received a Bachelor' Degree in Accounting from the University of Central Florida and obtained his Certified Public Accounting License shortly after graduation. He devoted his entire working career of 40 years to the Greenlee, Kurras, Rice & Brown C.P.A. firm with offices in Clermont and Mount Dora, spending the majority of his time as a partner in the Clermont office. He served his community through the Clermont-Minneola Lions Club for 31 years and held the office of treasurer for 21 years. He is survived by his wife, Diana Hayes Brown (Clermont, FL), sons, Brandon D. Brown (Terri ) of Clermont, FL, and Gavin S. Brown, (Astoria, NY), granddaughter, Callie Claire (Clermont, FL) father, William Norval Brown (Lida) (Clermont, FL), brother, Terry Lee Brown (Diana) (Clermont, FL), and sister, Cynthia L. Brown (Groveland, FL) one) and two nephews, Kyle Brown (Apopka, FL) and Craig Brown (Clermont, FL). He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty S. Brown.



Funeral Services for Mr. Brown will be held at 3PM Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at First United Methodist Church, Clermont. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8PM Monday at the funeral home.
