Jerome Kaplan

March 10, 1938 to February 12, 2023

Jerome (Jerry) Kaplan, of Clermont, FL, formerly of Hazlet, NJ, passed away on the morning of February 12, 2023.

He was a loving and caring husband to Ana for 58 years.  Jerry was also the beloved father to Stacey and Jeffrey; cherished grandfather to Michael, Brendan and wife Meghan, Nicholas, and Tyler; as well as newly becoming a great grandfather to Maggie Ana.  He was the dear brother to Dorothy, and husband Ben Albala; along with many nieces and nephews.

Jerry was predeceased by his parents Samuel and Jeanette Kaplan and sister, Gloria Maxine Kaplan.

Jerry was a proud Navy Veteran.  He was especially proud of his extended military family with one grandson currently serving in the US Coast Guard, and another in the US Air Force.

After retiring, Jerry and Ana moved to Clermont, where he worked at Universal Studios to keep himself busy.  HE loved to go fishing, bowling and enjoyed his occasional golf outings with the Hackers Club.

He was a selfless man who always would help anyone that needed encouragement or guidance.  He always took care of the ones he loved the most.

Services will be held privately with family at an undetermined date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hadassah or the Wounded Warrior Project.
