Jeanette Aline Underwood, 79, passed away on January 10, 2014 after a courageous 2 year battle with cancer. She was born in Owatonna, Minnesota on December 27, 1934 to Edward and Emeline (Johnson) Brudwick. The oldest of five children, she graduated from Blooming Prairie schools and married her high school sweetheart, Harold Underwood. While raising 4 children, they lived and worked in many areas of the United States as well as Ecuador and Saudi Arabia. In 1987 they settled back into Winter Garden, FL and made it their permanent home. Her greatest joy was her family. Her home was always a place for family gatherings and is filled with photos and mementos of her 4 children, 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Jeanette was a devoted Christian that could always be found serving others. She spent a great deal of time helping others through the church. Knitting was one of her favorite pastimes. She was preceded in death by her parents and a great grandson, Parker. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Harold Underwood, her children, Roger (Debbie) of Cape Coral, FL, Steven of Blackshear, GA, Mari (Steve) Van Dyke of Astatula, FL, Cindy(Gene) Farnsworth of Grand Junction, CO, 19 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. Jeanette was a loving and compassionate woman that lived by faith, family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all that loved her dearly.



A memorial service will be held Monday, January 13, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Woodlands Lutheran Church, Montverde, FL.
