Jeanette Beattie Hayes, 72, Viera, FL passed away December 28, 2012 at home surrounded by her family. She was born March 16, 1940 in Montrose, Scotland daughter of Betsy Nicol & Frederick Low. On February 28, 1962 she was united in marriage to Robert Corbin Hayes, Jr. in Montrose and was a Florida resident since 1996 from Columbus, NE. She was of Catholic faith and a hobby of hers was knitting, of which she knitted baby garments for the women's center in Uganda under a mission of Father Ponce of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son Peter Hayes in 1992 and her brother Bert Low. Surviving is her husband Robert C. Hayes, Jr.; children Susan (Darren) Dias, LaGrange, NC; Robert (Brenda) Hayes, Dixon, IL; Gary Hayes, Greenock, Scotland; Paul Hayes, Panama City Beach; Angela (Robert) Tagliabue, Quantico, VA & Bryan Hayes, Clermont; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings Jack (Alice) Low, Germany; Arthur Low & William (Margaret) Low, all of Montrose, Scotland & nieces & nephews.



Mass of Christian Burial for Jeanette Hayes will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 720 12th Street, Clermont, FL celebrated by Very Reverend Robert E. Webster. Burial will follow in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at the funeral home.
