It is with great sadness that the family of Jean-Paul Fagot announces his passing after his courageous battle of COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) on Friday, February 16, 2018 at the age of 77.

Jean-Paul will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years Suzette and their children Lionel and Corinne (Robert). Jean-Paul will also be fondly remembered by his 6 grandchildren, Liam, Gabrielle, Austin, Cody, Mathias and Jacob and by his sister Claude.

A Celebration of Life will be held in memory of Jean-Paul on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 4:00-6:00 pm at Becker Funeral Home, 806 W Minneola Ave., Clermont FL 34712 .

Jean-Paul was born in Bathurst, Senegal (Africa) in 1940. He and his family moved back to Grenoble, France when he was 5 years. From a young age Jean-Paul wanted to be an artist. He started his apprenticeship to become a Pastry Chef at the age of 13 and owned a pastry shop in Nice, France with his wife Suzette prior to immigrating to Canada in 1967.

Jean-Paul will be best remembered by his creativity in his 40 year career as a Corporate Pastry Chef working for the most prestigious hotels. His career allowed him to travel the world which inspired many of his creations throughout his life. His paintings were much appreciated by his friends and family who have benefited from hundreds of his one of kind creations.

His creativity also expanded into the kitchen where he spent countless hours baking, cooking and creating culinary delights for his friends and family.

Jean-Paul was a wise and gentle man. A man of few words, who expressed himself through his creativity. He inspired us in many ways through his work ethic, his artistry, his patience and his love for soccer. He will be forever in our hearts. May he rest in peace.

C'est avec grande tristesse que la famille de Jean-Paul Fagot vous annonce son décès après une lutte courageuse contre le COPD (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) vendredi le 16 février 20018 à l'age de 77 ans.

Jean-Paul laisse derrière lui une famille qui l'adore; son épouse depuis 54 ans Suzette et leurs enfants Lionel et Corinne (Robert) ainsi que 6 petits enfants Liam, Gabrielle, Austin, Cody, Mathias, Jacob et sa soeur Claude.

Une Célébration de Vie en sa mémoire aura lieu mardi, le 20 février, 2018 de 16h00 à 18h00 chez Beckers Funeral Home, 806 W Minneola Ave., Clermont FL 34712 .

Jean-Paul est né à Bathurst au Sénégal en 1940. Sa famille et lui sont retournés vivre à Grenoble, en France quand il était agé de 5 ans. Dès son enfance, Jean-Paul voulait être artiste. Il est devenu apprenti Chef Patissier à l'age de 13 ans et plus tard il a été propriétaire, avec sa femme Suzette, d'une patisserie à Nice, en France, avant d'émigrer au Canada en 1967.

On se souviendra particulièrement de la créativité de Jean-Paul comme Chef Patissier Exécutif pendant 35 ans aux hotels les plus renommés du monde. Sa carrière lui a permis de voyager le monde, lui donnant une inspiration constante durant sa vie. Les centaines de tableaux qu'on reçu sa famille et ses proches resteront à tout jamais des bijoux nous rappelant à quel point Jean-Paul débordait de talent.

Sa créativité se manifestait également dans la cuisine alors qu'il passait d'innombrables heures à cuisiner, à faire de la patisserie et à gâter le palet de ses proches.

Jean-Paul était une homme doux et sage. Un homme discret, il s'exprimait surtout par ses créations. Il nous a inspiré, et nous inspireras toujours, par son éthique de travail, son talent artistique, sa patience et son amour du foot. Il sera à tout jamais dans nos coeurs. Qu'il repose en paix.
