Obituary

Jasper Cash "J.C." Coble, 86, of Clermont, FL. born April 11, 1927, relocated to his heavenly home October 19, 2013. He was born near Pleasant Gardens, N.C., the 5th of 6 sons to Benjamin & Cora Coble. By the encouragement and instruction of his oldest brother Ben, he learned about Jesus dying for the sins of the world, the gift of forgiveness, and the promise of eternal life in heaven. After hearing this "Good News" as a young man, J.C. prayed to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, being spared from a life of eternal separation from God. This is why his death is merely relocating to live with Jesus in Heaven forever. This decision shaped his life making him a faithful, loving, devoted husband for 52 years to Lois Gadd Coble (deceased 2003), and a caring, considerate, and loving father to 5 daughters: Anita Jane (deceased 1994), Norma Jean, Donna Arlene, Lois Elaine, and Diane Elizabeth (the Coble girls). Prior to his ten year battle with Alzheimer, as a young man he enlisted in the Navy, then later he owned and operated Coble' Radiator and Auto Repair, and Coble' Shoe Repair. This is how he provided for his wife and family. But his motivation for living was seen first on Sunday when he worshiped the Lord at Hiawassee Bible Chapel, and most recently at The Clermont Bible Chapel. Secondly, he was seen the other 6 days of the week helping people in true need. This being his driving force, it was no surprise that at 62 years old, he sold his business and dedicated the rest of his "retirement years" to serve the Lord Jesus full time. Being a "jack of all trades", he and Lois traveled working at many Children' Bible Camps, and Christian Retirement Homes. His biggest joy was to tell someone in his own particular and creative way, how Jesus died for their sins and rose again the 3rd day. He would say that by believing, accepting, and confessing this, "Jesus would wipe away your sins just like windshield wipers wipe away dirt from the windshield". This is the legacy that J.C. Coble leaves behind, a life of loving and serving God, and caring for others. His legacy is well noted and already being replicated by his survivors who include: 4 daughters, 5 son-in-laws, a son, 17 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Although many of his survivors are still young and growing, there are 5 preachers, 4 teachers, 5 college grads, 6 college students, 4 home school moms, and 4 who opened their own businesses. In addition, a valedictorian, a salutatorian, and 2 who followed grandpa into the Navy, each with many hours volunteering to help others. The challenge is put forth, that the family and friends of J.C. Coble, continue his legacy of loving and serving God and others.
