Obituary

Jason Wayne Horn, age 48, of Titusville FL unexpectedly passed away on September 20th, 2024 of a heart attack. Jason was born on July 2nd, 1976 to his parents Linda and John Horn. He grew up in Orlando FL where his mother met his step dad Carl Reich who raised him and coached his sports teams and was a huge part of his life. He attended Colonial High School and thrived in sports and academics. He later went to Campbell University in North Carolina to further his education. About a year later he became homesick and moved back home to start working towards his dream career of building homes. During that time he rekindled with a friend Shannon Merithew whom he had known since he was a kid, shortly after they moved in together. Five years later, Jason popped the question, they married in September 2002. They had their first child Kaylee in January of 2003. They later went on to build their dream home with their own hands as a family in 2006, in Clermont, FL. In July of 2007, they welcomed their second child, Brice. Jason proved himself to be an amazing dad to his kids, he gave them so much love and guidance throughout their childhood. Although Jason and Shannon separated in 2023, he still remained the best dad to his kids, always putting in the extra effort to be there for them and guide them in the right direction. He made sure that they all maintained the close family they always had, and never stopped loving them with all of his heart.

He wasn't only committed to his children, he was also very committed to his work. He built homes, strip malls, schools, and multi-family buildings throughout Central Florida. Every project he worked on he left his mark on through his drive for perfection and genuine care. He treated each project as if he was building the project for himself. In his free time, he was most at peace at the beach surfing, fishing or on the lake wakeboarding. His culinary skills were extraordinary, he enjoyed entertaining people and cooking for them to show off his hidden talent.

Although he has left his two beautiful children behind, he will always be in their hearts and minds guiding them through the rest of their lives. A person like Jason is rare, one so generous, smart and kind. He will always be remembered for his infectious laugh, kind smile, and his loving and generous heart. Nothing in this world could ever replace a person like him. Now that he is in heaven, he has been reunited with his mother Linda Reich, who was his best friend. To know him truly was to love him. He worked so hard to provide for his family, he gave them a beautiful life. From all the family trips on the boat to always supporting his kids with their sports hobbies, helping them practice and never missing a game even with his busy work schedule. They took many family vacations, he gave K-Bug and Bricey the best memories and childhood.

Jason's life was a blessing to everyone around him, his family and friends, and the people he worked with. He was always full of love, kindness and happiness. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on forever. Everyone will always remember the way he made them feel and the joy he brought into their lives. While he will be greatly missed, his spirit will remain with all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his two children, Kaylee and Brice Horn of Leesburg, FL; their mother, Shannon Horn of Edgewater FL; his dad, Carl Reich of Winter Park FL; his siblings, John Benjamin Horn of Orlando FL, Shannon Wills of Titusville FL and Robbie Horn of North Carolina; his nieces and nephews, who most he was like a father figure to; his grandmother, Marjorie Doyle of Titusville; his girlfriend, Rita Domby of Palm Bay; as well as his lifelong friends. He has been reconnected with his mother, Linda Reich; his father, John Horn; his step mother, Gina Horn; and his grandfather, John Doyle.

A Celebration of Life for Jason will be held in a private setting for his family and close friends. For anyone who wishes to send your condolences or flowers to his family please email khorn1725@gmail.com for more information. Thank you
