Janet Lynn Thomas, 73, Clermont, passed away November 12, 2010 at her residence. She was born December 18, 1936 in Little Rock, AR daughter of William Colvert & Thelma West Colvert. On May 26, 1957 she was united in marriage to Eugene Mitchell Thomas in New Orleans, LA. A local resident since 1992 from Boca Raton, she was a member of First United Methodist Church of Clermont and  an active member of the South Lake Historical Society. She enjoyed square dancing. Surviving is her husband Gene; daughters Carol Thomas, Clermont; Sharon Thomas Carpenter & husband Lou, Rochester, NY & Jo Whitlock & husband Todd, Indianapolis, IN; 5 grandchildren & sisters Lee Becnel & husband Norman, Baton Rouge, LA & Barbara Wright, Hammond, LA.







The memorial service for Janet Thomas will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 in the Becker Chapel. Reverend Duane Zoller will officiate. Inurnment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
