Janet Rae Smith, 78, of Clermont, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 21st 2025. Janet was born on March 29th, 1947 in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of parents Roy Fetters and Cora (Lipps) Fetters. Janet graduated from Liberty High School in Ohio in 1965. She leaves behind two sons, Roy Chura of Leavittsburg and Cory Chura of Cortland.

Grand daughters Madison and Savanna. and her sisters Carol Sheridan, Gloria Brown, Bonnie Kosa and Donna Latessa. Proceeded in death by her late husband of 40+ years, William (Smitty) Smith and Ex husband Robert Chura.

Janet worked in the Hen house at Packard Electric in Warren, Ohio for over 34 years. After retirement, Janet and Smitty traveled the country in their motor-coach. They were often work campers at various parks around the United States, particularly Florida, Texas, Missouri, Pennsylvania and New York. Janet was especially proud of her position at Disney, where for over 10 yrs she loved dressing in costumes and greeting guests. Janet was of the Methodist faith. In her younger years Janet loved riding motorcycles, attending NASCAR races.

They loved traveling/camping in the coach, hosting parties and events, cooking for family and friends, sewing, spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Poppy "best dog in the world ".

Janet had a love for life, always making the best of every moment. She had a contagious laughter that continues to ring in the minds of her loved ones. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She lived life to the fullest every day.

A celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
