Langley; her 4 children: Mr. Steven (Holly) Langley, Mr. Ricky Langley, Mrs. Karen (Dave) Eslinger, and Dr. Donald (Caitlin) Langley; and her 12 grandchildren: Lindsey (Josh) Ash, Allison (James) Jacobelli, Chelsea (Drew) Blaser, Shelby Langley, Abigail Langley, Katie Langley, Taylor Langley, Travis Bassford, Tyler Bassford, Ben Francks, Aubrey Francks, and Charlotte Francks.
After their marriage Janet joined Bill in Water Valley, MS where he was employed during the summer. They then moved to Starkville, MS, where Bill finished up his engineering degree. They moved to Heber Springs, AR and then later Little Rock, AR where they started a family. Due to the nature of Bill's career with the Corp of Engineers, US Air Force, and the Federal Aviation Administration, their family moved several times during his career. Their final two children were born in Shreveport, LA, and then Memphis, TN. Following such, they moved to Jackson, MS where all four children forged many memories of their mom as she dedicated her life to raising them. Janet was a loving mother placing the needs and wants of her children above her own. She was their teacher, cook, driver, and cheerleader all wrapped up into one.
Later in Bill's career, Bill and Janet moved to Orlando, FL. During their time in Orlando, the children finished growing up and completed their education. Bill later transferred back to Memphis, TN. In Memphis they became grandparents, and their eldest grandchild coined the name "Mimi" for Janet. They settled in Clermont, FL in 1996 to begin their retirement and grandparent stage of life. While living in Clermont, they attended the Clermont Church of Christ, where they have been long-standing members. Having lived in multiple places, they developed close friendships in all of these cities.
At an early age, Janet put on Christ in baptism and has used her life as a servant in His Kingdom ever since. The most important aspects of her life were her faith and family. She frequently taught Bible classes at church and was known for constantly having church friends and family in her home. Her husband served as an Elder at multiple congregations and she compassionately supported him in this important work. Janet's innate nurturing spirit fostered many close relationships with all who knew her. She is known for loving to sing hymns, baking chocolate chip cookies, and being the biggest help meet to Bill in all aspects of life. Janet passed away April 10, 2020, gaining her eternal Heavenly reward.
