Janet M. Burns, 68, lost her courageous battle with cancer Friday afternoon, September 16th. She was at home in Clermont Florida, surrounded by her loving family.



Jan was born in Olivia, Minnesota to Phyllis and Harold Nenow and later graduated from Windom High School (Minnesota) and cosmetology school in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. There she met and married her husband of 47 years Jim Burns. Together they are blessed with three children.



She is survived by her husband Jim and their children Beth (Tim) Klein, Clermont; Jeff (Carmen) Burns, Winter Garden and Amy (Jeff) Rainey, Tampa; sister Marlys Nenow, Clermont; grandchildren Mark (Brittany) Klein, Conor Klein, Shelby and Garrett Burns, Madelyn, Ellie and Jace Rainey; great grandchildren Tyler and Colby Klein & uncle Darrel (Marcella) Reynolds.







Mass of Christian Burial for Janet Burns will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 19, 2011 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, celebrated by Father Cromwell Cabrisos. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at the funeral home.
