Jane Elaine Kiernan, born on November 12, 1950, passed away peacefully at her home in Clermont, Florida, on July 11, 2026. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who was deeply loved by her family. Jane's kindness, strength, and unwavering love for those closest to her will be remembered always.
Jane was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William R. Kiernan, Sr.; her parents, Ruth Carson Dansbury and Nathan George Dansbury; her half-brother, Daniel Dansbury; and her sisters, Carol Jane Guralski, Elaine Eloise Brassell, and Lorraine Dansbury.
She is lovingly survived by her son, William R. Kiernan, Jr., and daughter-in-law, Heather D. Kiernan, and by her cherished grandsons, William R. Kiernan III and Ryan Alexander Nathan Kiernan. She is also survived by her sister, Eloise Lorraine Kalman-Dansbury, and her children: Chris Kalman; Richard Kalman; Danny Kalman and his wife, Tina; and Dee Saurman and her husband, Steve. Jane is also survived by her sister, Marian Stout and her husband, Barry, and their daughter, Nicole.
Jane also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by the family of her late sister, Carol Jane Guralski, including Carol's husband, Tom, and their son, Pedro Chavez, and his wife, Laura Pacheco de Chavez. She is also survived by the family of her late sister, Elaine Eloise Brassell, including her son, Robert J. Brassell Jr., and his wife, Stacey; her daughter, Gale Allison, and husband, Edward, and their daughter, Adrienne; her daughter, Bobbie Trombly, and her son, Troy; and her daughter, Jan Fink, and husband, Dave, and their son, Lucas. She is also survived by the family of her late sister, Lorraine Dansbury, including her sons, Robert Preston and Nathan Preston, and her daughter, Courtney Preston, and Courtney's daughters, Alysia Peraita and Julianna Peraita.
Jane's surviving grandchildren and great-grandchildren from the Kalman family include Dylan and Ethan Kalman, great-granddaughter Charlee, Christian Kalman, Dakota Kalman, Brooke Kalman, Eric Kalman, Luca Saurman, and Emma Saurman.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Becker Funeral Home in Clermont, Florida. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at 1:00 p.m. at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
