Obituary
Jane F. Haney, 75, a resident of Clermont, FL, previously of East Greenbush, NY, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 after a brief illness. Jane was born October 25, 1941 in St. Louis, MO, daughter of Harold Luther and Florence Cuneo Luther. She grew up in Albany, NY and graduated from Vincentian Institute in 1961. She married William "Bill" Haney on July 8, 1966. Jane was employed by Niagra Mohawk Power and Light Corp. for 22 years and was the Vice-President of Sonitrol & Pro Com Security Systems in the Albany NY area, retiring in 1995. Jane was an avid golfer and bridge player. She was also a dedicated volunteer at New Beginnings of Central Florida and volunteered at the Clermont Performing Arts Center. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Clermont, FL. She loved spending her summers in the Adirondack Mountains at Caroga Lake, NY. Jane was a devoted wife and mother and is survived by her beloved son, William M. Haney of upstate New York; her sister, Joyce (Mickey) Condon of Albany, NY along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Service celebrating Jane's life will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 10:30 AM at the Becker Funeral Home in Clermont, FL.
