James Craig Packard, Jr., 49, Minneola, passed away May 6, 2013 at home. He was born June 1, 1963 in New Britain, CT son of Lois Christine Rochette & James Craig Parkard, Sr. and was a local resident since 2003 from Poughkeepsie, NY. He worked for a number of years at Clermont Automotive & was a member of Woodlands Lutheran Church. His father James Craig Packard, Sr. preceded him in death in 2002. Surviving is his mother Lois Packard & maternal grandmother Emily Rochette of Clermont; siblings Scott (Vicki) Packard, Windsor, CT; Kelly (John) Rallison, Orlando; Deborah Rome, Clermont; Shannon (John) Gerbi, Melbourne; Lynn (Don) Craig, Portland, OR; April (Steve) Spaite, West Richland, WA; Michelle Turck, Red Hook, NY; Michael Packard, Beacon, NY & Christopher Packard, Chevy Chase, MD; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles & cousins. The funeral service for Jim Packard will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 11, 2013 in the Becker Chapel. Reverend Dr. Milan Weerts will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Groveland. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
