James L. Mackey, 89, of Groveland, FL passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022.  James was born on  October 20, 1932 in Stockbridge, NY, son of Dennis and Anna Mackey.  He was a longtime resident of Groveland and caring father, grandfather, great grandfather and husband.

James is survived by; son, Robert Mackey and wife, Nancy; daughter Angela Abbott and husband, David; grandchildren, Jason Mackey, Sarah Mackey, Jonathon Abbott, Andrew Abbott and wife, Laura, Brent Abbott, Christopher Mackey and wife, Guisela, Kimberley Murphy and husband, David and Jacqueline Pounds and husband, Cody and great grandchildren, Cooper and Hallie Pounds, Camila Mackey and Michael Murphy.

James is preceded by his beloved wife, Marie and his oldest son, Michael Mackey.
