JAMES ROBERT KRONBERG
MARCH 15TH 1936--JULY 14TH 2012
A LIFE WELL LIVED
Chicago, Illinois, March 15th 1936 welcomed the birth of James ''Jim'' Kronberg by loving parents, Robert and Celeste Kronberg and stepfather Heinz Szeve. Jim was a curious and active child knowing that when his two sisters were born, Lolita Zelmanski and Sandra Robinson, he was to be their protector and champion forever until their respective passing.
Jim' sense of wanderlust brought him to many wonderful places where he was able to satiate his lust for adventure and life. He left his footprints in Illinois, Michigan, California, Las Vegas, finally calling Clermont, Florida his last home.
During his travels, Jim enlisted in the Air-force achieving the rank of Airman First Class, receiving the national defence medal in 1956.
Jim was blessed with three daughters, JanSeldon, (Michigan) Jill Nabonzy (Michigan) and Julia Hutchison (Clermont, Fl.) and (son in- in-law James Hutchison) and raised them equally, achieving a Ph.D. in psychology along the way. And a son in- in-law James Hutchison who was like his son.
Jim was pre-deceased by his granddaughter, Stephanie, and leaves his nieces, Tina, Krissy, and Paula, his cherished Aunt Jean, the Matriarch of the family. He also leaves his grandchildren, Nicholas, Sammy, Jillian, and Daniel to carry on his family heritage.
Jim lived the best of his times at King' Ridge, Clermont, Fl. His keen eye for detail, sparkling eyes and his overt personality made it so very easy to be his friend. Just ask or say you were hungry! Jim would wow you with his culinary prowess ....Could he cook!!!!! Everyone' plate was always empty and asking for more.
February 15, 2010, Jim married the love of his life, Catherine McCabe. He was a trickster, he was a romantic!!!!
Their first ceremony was shared by themselves, but his love for Catherine was so large and consuming that he needed to shout it to the world and share her a bit and married her again on April 15, 2010 announcing to the world "This is my girl".
Sadly Jim' very large and generous heart could function no longer. He tried valiantly to hold onto the hands that loved and cared for him, but gently slipped into the night on July 14th, 2012. He was surrounded by his devoted daughter, Julia and his loving and cherished wife, Catherine. Her' was the last hand he held forever.
Rest well and easy our sweet man, knowing we are better people for knowing you. You are loved and we hold your memory sacred. Jim Kronberg,a life well lived.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Cornerstone Hospice in Clermont.
