James John Janowski, Jr.
James (Jimmy) Janowski, Jr., 52, of Clermont, FL died at home. He was found on Thursday, May 16, 2013. He was born March 15, 1961 in Brooklyn, NY son of Anna (Sima) Strelec & the late James Janowski, Sr. Jimmy graduated from North Hunterdon Regional High School, Annandale, NJ in 1979. He lived in Hampton, and then Kearny, NJ before moving to Clermont in 2007. He worked at Lowe's in the plumbing department and prior to that was a long distance truck driver. He was a hard worker who enjoyed a good laugh, riding his Harley, playing with his two cats, Schwinky & Emma, and cutting his grass. He is survived by his mother and step-father Anna & George Strelec of Hampton, NJ; his former wife Diane Johanson of Clermont; brother Steven Janowski of Massapequa, NY; sister Andrea (Todd) Johnstone of Bloomsbury, NJ; step daughters Noelle Johanson & Leanne Nelson of Greenville, NH; five step-grandchildren; a niece & nephew; many aunts, uncles & cousins. Jimmy will be sadly missed by his family & friends.
A gathering for friends and family will be from 2-4 PM on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 in the Becker Chapel followed by a memorial service at 4:00 PM. Father Cromwell Cabrisos will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the South Lake Animal League (a no kill shelter), P.O. Box 121504, Clermont, FL 34712. A memorial mass will be held in New Jersey.
