James Richard Guilds from Caro Michigan, passed away on June 1, 2026, in Clermont, Florida, at the age of 89. He transitioned into eternity to be with Jesus and his wife of 67 years, Ellen Lewis Guilds. He was a great sportsman. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He took various hunting and fishing expeditions resulting in trophies such as a ram, black bear, bobcat and undoubtedly hundreds of deer and turkeys. He was a great provider to his family. He worked hard so that his children could enjoy living in the country on all the acreage. He was also known for his stories he told of his expeditions. He retired from Tuscola County Road Commission.

He leaves behind six children; Chery Baccei, Kimberly Guilds, Randy Guilds, Valerie Guilds-Dickens, Rhonda Avila & husband Michael Avila, Crystal Biddle. Thirteen grandchildren; Justin Guilds, Joey Humpert, Joshua & Tracey Bader, Jonathan Baccei, Jordan Guilds, Jacob Guilds, Jeremy & Ashley Avila, James & Katelyn Avila, Justin & Shelby Avila, Jennifer & Garrett Tanner, Jessey Dickens, Josiah Dickens, Kaleigh Biddle, and 15 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Lunch will be open to all Friends/Family at the Guilds Home on July 25, 2026, 12-3:00 pm.
