James Paul Carroll, (83) of Clermont, passed away peacefully in his sleep on

September 13, 2022.

Jim was born on Oct 22, 1938 in Eustis, FL to Emmett and Celeste Carroll. Jim was a lifelong resident of Clermont, graduating from Clermont High School in 1956. Last year Jim celebrated 50 years of service with the Masonic Lodge of Clermont. During his time with the Masons, Jim held numerous positions, including Worshipful Master, Secretary and Treasurer.

Jim worked for Hughes Supply in Orlando and retired as the Personal Manager in 2001 after 45 years of service. In 1961, Jim married Dolores Williams and adopted her three children: Mike, Roger and Shanny. After his retirement in 2001, Jim enjoyed spending time with his family, especially all the grandkids.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife Dolores and his parents. He is survived by his three children, eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, one nephew, one niece. and his brother, John Carroll of Clermont

A memorial service for Jim will take place at the First United Methodist Church of Clermont on Sunday September 25th at 1:30pm. A reception will be held at the Methodist Church Fellowship Hall immediately after the service.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to Mike Conley Hospice House
