James Charles Lancaster
September 23, 1962 – August 23, 2021
It is with sorrow and love that we mourn the passing of Jimmy C. Lancaster. Jimmy passed away on August 23, 2021, in Clermont, Florida after courageously battling COVID for 2 long weeks. Jimmy was born September 23, 1962, to Jim Lancaster and Charlotte Gronmark. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary (Mihlbauer) Lancaster, his daughter Amber Malia Anderson (Luke Anderson and their 4 children: Maylea, Judah, Willow, and Eden) and his 3 sons: Shane Kimo, Caleb Keoni, and Jordan Kale, his mother, Charlotte Gronmark (Jim Gronmark), his sister, Sharon Pattishall (Chuck Pattishall and their 3 daughters: Emma, Haley, and Audrey) and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Jimmy was born and spent his early years in Massachusetts. The family moved to Brandon, Florida in his teenage years. He graduated from Brandon High School in 1980 and went on to attend ITT Technical Institute. After graduation his career took him to Texas where he accepted a position at Texas Instruments where he met his wife, Mary. In time his career led him back to Florida where he continued to advance with Triton Networks, Motorola, Brijot Inc, Ocean Optics, and most recently at SA Photonics. Jimmy was an expert on cars and fixing just about anything. After finding and purchasing the perfect 5-acre location in Clermont, Florida; Jimmy and Mary then built their family home where they raised their 4 children. Over the coming years, tending their vegetable and flower gardens brought them much happiness.
Jimmy enjoyed spending time with family, his best friend Deke, and his many other friends. He enjoyed helping other people and volunteering at church. Jimmy loved fishing, baseball, and soccer. He enjoyed watching his children play sports. His love of fishing led him to many tournament victories. Jimmy loved his children and enjoyed all their piano recitals. He was most proud of his children and grandchildren. Jimmy was deeply loved, and he will be forever missed.
