Jamaal Heath Johnson, 26, of Clermont, FL passed away Friday, July 27, 2012.  Jamaal was born on July 19, 1986 in Ocoee, FL, the son of Abraham and Kathy (nee VanMeter) Johnson.  He was a lifelong resident of Central Florida, graduating from East Ridge High School in 2005.  After high school he attended the University of Florida where he was on the track and field team.  Jamaal was an aspiring actor and model, enjoyed the movies, comics, the gym and his ferrets.

Jamaal is survived by his father, Abraham Johnson of Clermont; Paternal Great Grandmother, Louise Francis of Wellington, FL; Paternal Grandparents, Abraham and Gloria Johnson of Clermont; brothers, Demetrus Thompson of Minneola, FL, Raymond Clark of Altamonte Springs, FL and Marcus Johnson of Minneola, FL; sisters, Amber and Ashley Johnson of Brandon, FL; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.  Jamaal was preceded in death by his mother, Kathy.



A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 to 8PM Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Becker Funeral Home.  The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials in Jamaal's name to the American Cancer Society.
