Jack Eldon Griner Jr., of Clermont, Fla., passed away Thursday evening, August 11th at the age of 63, in Orlando, FL at the Orlando VA Medical Center alongside his wife and children.
He was born on March 22, 1953 in Tifton, Georgia to the late Jack Griner Sr and Juanita Beckius both from Clermont, FL.
Jack Jr. is a long time resident of Clermont, Fla., after moving here from Georgia in 1956.
He served in the Army as a Medivac Crew Chief, during the Vietnam War from 1970 to 1972; after being severely wounded, he returned home to Clermont, FL.
Jack Jr. was well known around Lake County for being an outstanding Mechanic. He owned and operated Advance Auto in Mascotte, FL along with several other businesses in Lake County.
He was an adventurous man, he enjoyed air-boating, fishing, drag racing, rail buggy riding and hunting with his family and friends.
He was no stranger to anyone, hard working, passionate, caring and a very loving Husband, Father, Grand-Father and Great-Grand Father. He will be missed by all those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Jack Jr. was of part of a four generation of Griners. Which includes his late father, Jack Eldon Griner Sr, of Clermont, Fla., Jack Eldon Griner III, 42 of Hernando Beach, Fla and Jack Eldon Griner IV, 22 of Groveland, Fla.
He is survived by his wife Deborah Griner and their two children Jack Griner III, wife Stefanie of Hernando Beach, FL and Kimberley Griner Crawford, husband Randall of Groveland, FL; Grandchildren Jack Griner IV, Bailey Griner, Christian Floyd, Kelsi Floyd and Caleb McCandless; Great Grandchild Braelyn Griner; Mother, Juanita Beckius; Sister, Elaine Barton; Brother, Tony Griner; Sister, Joyce Chancellor Uncle, Earl Griner and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Griner Sr; Stepmother Joyce Griner and Stepfather Thomas Beckius.
