(Bo) Roberts, III and Claire Iverson Roberts; sisters Ada Smith and Nell Harvell (Ray); many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
Harold was born in Arab, Ala., and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Beginning in 1952 when he opened his first business, Clermont Television and Appliance, Harold spent his career as a small business owner, operating Roberts TV until 1977 and Harold Roberts Realty from 1978 until his retirement in 2007.
Shortly after moving to Clermont, Harold and a few other Christians began the work that became the Clermont Church of Christ where he was a member until his death. Harold served as an Elder of the church for twenty-seven years. He served as President of the Clermont Jaycees, the Clermont Chamber of Commerce and the Lion's Club. He also served more than twenty years on the Board of Directors of South Lake Hospital.
Harold was a quiet, strong man of great integrity dedicated to serving his Lord, his family and his community. He mentored many young businessmen, championed the rights of those in need and touched numerous lives with his generosity. He loved, cherished and honored his wife, taught his children hard work, independence and sacrifice. He showed his grandchildren the value of living a full life in service to our Lord.
Harold was a constant and steadfast man of great wisdom who approached life with a rare humility and grace. He left this life with an overwhelming peacefulness, carried to his home on the wings of angels having secured victory through Jesus. "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain."
