Ivalisse Diane Kochinka, Ivy to pretty much everyone, was born in New York on Sunday, February 13th, 1977 to Jay and Diana Moreno.

in 1993 she moved to Kissimmee, FL with her mother and siblings. They moved to Ft. Lauderdale in 1994, where she graduated from Northeast High School. She worked at Winn-Dixie, where she met her future husband Lloyd Kochinka.

In 1998, she gave birth to her son Andrew Kochinka and got married. Her and her small family moved to Winter Park in 1999 for Lloyd to go to school, and she started working for Humana Military. She gave birth to her daughter Tatiana Kochinka in 2001.

They moved to Minneola and bought their home there.

Ivy continued working in healthcare insurance until she retired to pursue other interests. She volunteered in the child ministries of The Church at South Lake, which became like a second family.

Ivy was a lover of music and loved to sing. She would never turn down a chance to be a rock star on stage, no matter how small. She was also a dog lover and rescued 4 dogs, even though she was allergic. She donated to multiple rescues and shelters to help save as many fur babies as she could. She also loved Harry Potter, board games, movies, and spending as much time with family as she could.

In 2019 Ivy was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, also known as bile duct cancer. She fought long and hard for more than 3 years before finally succumbing on Thursday, February 9th, 2023. She is survived by her husband Lloyd, children Andrew and Tatiana, her fur babies Harley and Robin, parents Diana and Jay, her mother-in-law Cookie, and her many siblings, nieces and nephews.

During her life she made many lasting relationships and touched so many lives. She had a smile and personality that lit up a room. Her warmth and light will be sorely missed.

A Celebration of Life will be announced.
