Israel Perez, 67, Leesburg, passed away July 11, 2012 at the Mike Conley Hospice House. He was born May 31, 1945 in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico son of Juan Perez & Ramona Mendez. He retired from the New York City Transit Authority and was a local resident since 2006 from Miami. He was a member of & officer at Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal MI Groveland. His brother Santos Perez preceded him in death. Surviving is his wife Carmen Luz Perez & daughter Francesca Mercado both of Leesburg; step-children Grace (Fernando) Fernandez, Miami & Daniel Mercado, Denver, CO; grandchildren Gene Fernandez & Daniel Mercado & siblings Angel, Victor, Carmello, Raymond, Juan, Wilfrado, Virginia, Isabel & Gladys.



Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal MI Groveland, 694 Anderson Road, Groveland, FL. The graveside service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 16, 2012 in Oak Hill Cemetery in Clermont. BECKER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Clermont, FL.
