Irene Johnston, 106, lived her life the way she wanted.
Always trying to make things better for her family, more often than not she would work two jobs. She & and Paul, her husband, owned three restaurant's.
It was getting close to their 50th anniversary and Irene would tell Paul, "don't you die on me before our big day or I will kill you." She was feisty. Happy to say they made it to 65 years!
Irene had style the way she walked; especially her dress; everything had to match. She had Panache!
She was proud to be 100% Swede. Could be why she was so stubborn. But the way she tells it, there is nothing wrong with a good Swede!
People would ask her "what contributes to your longevity?" "Lots of vitamins, pizza & beer" while watching Lawrence Welk on Saturday night. But must add, she also loved her champagne.
Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters; eight grandchildren & many, many great & great-great-grandchildren.
Irene was always strong in her faith. She is now with her Lord.
The funeral service for Mrs. Johnston will be
held in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
