Ila Nelle James, 79.God's amazing grace and the love of family and friends were with Nelle when she died November 20, 2010.She was a 15 year cancer survivor.Nelle was born April 12, 1931 to Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hedrick in Madisonville, TN.She met her husband, Arthur (Bud) James, in 1955 in Washington, D.C. where she worked at the Pentagon in the Office of Naval Intelligence.They were married in 1957.After accompanying her husband, Bud, for tours of duty in Korea and Turkey, they lived most of their married life in Columbia and Woodbine, MD.They moved to Clermont, FL in 1997.



Nelle was pre-deceased by her parents, her son, Daniel E. James and two sisters, June Reagan and Peggy Coats.



She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Arthur (Bud) James; two sons and their wives, Douglas James and Priya of Bloomfield, NJ and David James and Linda of Minneola, FL; three grandsons, Benjamin, Westley and Sid; three brothers, Larry and Liz Hedrick, Ted Hedrick and Dale and Edna Hedrick; two sisters, Carol and Rex Huskey and Belle and Verlin Collins.















Interment will be in TN.There will be a Memorial Service at a later date at the New Life Presbyterian Church, Minneola, FL.   The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials to Cornerstone Hospice,2445 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778.
